Reminder-CMS Deadline for Submitting ASC-6,7,8,9 & 10 is September 30, 2015

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) deadline for submitting data online is September 30, 2015 for ASC-6, ASC-7, ASC-8, ASC-9, and ASC-10*  

Check your data submission status on QualityReportingCenter.com through these links:

  • National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) submission
    NHSN Status Listing     - For determining whether your center has successfully enrolled in NHSN and whether you have successfully entered data for ASC-8
  • Data submitted online to CMS through QualityNet Web-Based Status Listing- For determining whether your center has successfully entered data for ASC-6, -7, -9, and -10
If you have yet to enroll your center in NHSN or to register a Security Administrator (SA) or basic user to enter data through the Secure Portal of QualityNet, do so now. ASCs that do not meet this deadline may receive a two percentage point reduction in their calendar year 2016 Medicare payment update.

*ASC-6: Safe Surgery Checklist Use, ASC-7: ASC Facility Volume Data on Selected ASC Surgical Procedures, ASC-8: Influenza Vaccination Coverage among Healthcare Personnel, ASC-9: Endoscopy/Polyp Surveillance: Appropriate Follow-up Interval for Normal Colonoscopy in Average Risk Patients, ASC-10: Endoscopy/Polyp Surveillance: Colonoscopy Interval for Patients with a History of Adenomatous Polyps - Avoidance of Inappropriate Use. ASC-8 is submitted directly to NHSN; the rest are submitted directly to CMS through the Secure Portal of QualityNet.
