SCASCA is a non-profit organization. The facility membership has grown from 13 centers in 2002 to 37 centers in 2007. We are represented by single and multi-specialty facilities with from 1 to 6 operating rooms.

SCASCA holds quarterly membership meetings for members to meet and network with each while receiving important industry updates.  Please visit the events page here for the next meeting date and location.

The mission of SCASCA is to:

  1. Establish acceptable standards of care and outcome benchmarks of ASCs in South Carolina.
  2. Promote staffing effectiveness and efficiencies through professional development and skills assessment.
  3. Promote benefits of ASCs among the public and medical community.
  4. Explore and promote new technologies and treatment modalities, which utilize SCASCA.
  5. Assess existing state laws and regulations, which apply to ASCs and make appropriate recommendations to regulatory agencies.
  6. Collaborate with other health care organizations towards achieving common goals and meeting the needs of the health care consumer.
